The Book of Ephesians
The Book of Ephesians, written by the Apostle Paul, is a letter to the church at Ephesus that emphasizes the spiritual blessings believers have in Christ and the unity of the body of Christ.
In chapters 1–3, Paul highlights the spiritual riches believers possess — being chosen, adopted, redeemed, and forgiven. He reveals God’s eternal plan to unite all things in Christ, explains the power available to believers, and underscores that salvation is a gift of grace, not earned by works. Paul also stresses the unity between Jews and Gentiles in Christ.
In chapters 4–6, Paul urges believers to live in a manner worthy of their calling. He promotes spiritual maturity and unity within the church, discusses the diversity of spiritual gifts, and encourages believers to walk in love, light, and wisdom. Paul also provides practical guidance for relationships — including marriage — comparing them to Christ’s love for the church. The final chapter focuses on spiritual warfare, calling believers to put on the full armor of God and to remain steadfast through prayer and spiritual preparedness.
